We will remain on strike for an indefinite period till the case against advocates is taken back, President, Bar Association Etah, Satya Prakash said.
Police had on Tuesday filed a case against Suneel Kumar, Rakesh Kumar, Prashant Pundhir, Daya Ram Rajput and 40 other unidentified advocates for allegedly assaulting station officer of Saket Kotwali Naushad khan after the later had allegedly presented a lawyer Daya Ram, booked in an Arms Act case, in the court handcuffed.
Meanwhile, Bar Association has threatened to expel advocates from the membership if found working during the strike.
