Base metals gains on rising demand, global cues

Select copper, brass, tin and nickel prices gained at the non-ferrous metal market here today on stockists buying amidst rising demand from industrial users on the back of global cues.
Globally, the industrial metal copper climbed in early trade, after a bright reading for China's factory output and better-than-expected second quarter growth suggested stimulus has fed into industry, improving the outlook for metals demand.
Nickel gained by Rs 10 per kg to Rs 915 from tuesday's closing level of Rs 905 and Tin moved up by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,125 as against to Rs 1,120.
Brass utensils scrap rose by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 300 from yesterday closing level of Rs 298.
Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy, copper utensils scrap, copper wire bar, copper sheets cuttings and brass sheets cuttings edged up by a Re per kg each to Rs 431, Rs 424, Rs 384, Rs 451, Rs 406 and Rs 311 respectively.
