Warner Bros have shifted the release of 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' from May 6, 2016 to March 25 to avoid a box office showdown with Disney's 'Captain America'.
The official reason given by the studio says the release was moved so that filmmakers could have more time to "realize fully their vision, given the complex visual nature of the story".
'Dawn of Justice' is directed by Zack Snyder and stars Henry Cavil as Superman and Ben Affleck as the Caped Crusader.
The studio also announced major release dates of its many untitled properties, including DC films.
