During the question hour, Bose replied that former Left Front government had formed an agricutural commission the report of which had been sent to cold storage.
He said that the government has decided to selectively consider the suggestions of the report to upgrade agricultural practices like modernisation of cultivation.
Regrading the agriculture farms, Bose said that there were 194 in number in the state and most of them were languishing due to years of neglect by the previous government.
Bose said that land from these farms had also been given for setting up 'krishak bazaars' (agricultural markets).
The minister said that the department had talks with the fishery department for starting pisciculture in water bodies located within the agri-farms.
