"Presently, the value of exports from West Bengal is Rs 63,745 crore. This should doubled to Rs 1,20,000 crore," Mitra told exporters at a FIEO programme here.
"The FIEO should give us a plan on how to achieve the target and how the state government can be involved in facilitating this endeavour," the minister said.
The Minister said that the Bengal exporters should take full advantage of the Look East policy as well as the comprehensive economic agreements which India had with countries like China, Thailand and Myanmar and the ASEAN nations as a whole.
