"We will conduct a study by experts to find out a solution to the issue," Union Minister of State for Environment, Forests and Climate Change Prakash Javadekar told reporters here on the sidelines of a function to commemorate 100 years of the Zoological Survey of India.
He said the government has been able to control the issue of elephants in Assam and it wants to do the same in West Bengal also.
Wild elephants have killed over 100 people in the state last year, of which 70 were in South Bengal alone.
