The Nitish Kumar cabinet today decided to call winter session of the Legislative Assembly from November 30.
The state cabinet in its first meeting this evening recommended convening session of the Legislative Assembly from November 30 to December 8, Principal Secretary of Cabinet Coordination department Amir Subhani told reporters.
He said the session of the Legislative Council will commence from December 3 and would end on December 8.
Giving details, he said that on the first two days - November 30 and December 1 - the newly-elected MLAs would take oath.
On December 2, the new Speaker of the Legislative Assembly would be elected.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's close confidante Vijay Chaudhary is pitted as front-runner for the post of Speaker.
Chaudhary, who was number two minister in the outgoing JD(U) government did not take oath as minister yesterday which indicates his chance of becoming Speaker.

The House would debate Governor's address on December 7 on which the government would reply on the last day of the session on December 8, Subhani said.
