Bihar to host 40th Sub-Jr National Basketball Championship

A total of 52 teams will take part in the 40th Sub-Junior National Basketball Championship to be held at Patliputra Sports Complex here from August 18-25, ihar Basketball Association (BBA) president A K Chandra said today.
28 teams in the boys' category and 24 in girls' category will participate in the week-long championship, he said.
Chandra said all the matches will be played under floodlights at the Patliputra Sports Complex indoor court and two venues at the Bihar military police synthetic basketball court, the BBA president.
Arrangements were being made for accommodation of about 700 players and 100 officials, he said.

Five Arjuna awardee basketball players will be felicitated on the final day of the championship, the BBA Secretary Sushil Kumar, who is also the organising secretary of the championship, said.
