Binod, Dipali win gold in junior recurve events

Binod Swansi of Steel Plant Sports Board (SPSB) won the gold in the boy's section, while Assam's Dipali Boro claimed the yellow metal in the girl's category of the junior recurve event at the third National Ranking Archery Tournament, here today.
Binod defeated Mukesh Tamang of Services Sports Control Board 6-0 in the boys final.
While Mukesh had to content with the silver, Dhaniram Basumatary of Assam claimed the bronze medal beating Jharkhand's Guru Charan 6-2 in the third-fourth place play-off match.
In the girls event, Dipali beat Davinder Kaur of Chandigarh 6-0 to claim the gold.
Another Assam girl, Himani Boro won the bronze medal, defeating Lavanya Namula of SPSB 6-0.
