Biocon shares down 1.5% post Q4 results

Shares of Biocon today ended 1.5 per cent lower after the company posted a 58 per cent plunge in its consolidated net profit for the March quarter.
The stock ended at Rs 1,105.35, down 1.27 per cent on BSE. Intra-day, it dipped 3.2 per cent to Rs 1,083.75.
On NSE, shares of the company went down by 1.5 per cent to close at Rs 1,103.70.
On the volume front, 2.79 lakh shares of the company were traded on BSE and over 22 lakh shares changed hands on NSE during the day.
Healthcare firm Biocon's consolidated net profit dropped 58 per cent to Rs 148.4 crore in the quarter ended March 31, 2017, compared to the year-ago period.
The company had reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 354.4 crore in the same quarter a year ago.
Its total income in the fourth quarter was Rs 974.3 crore compared to Rs 972.7 crore in the corresponding period.
