Bir Devinder suspended from Punjab Cong
Press Trust of India Chandigarh Former Deputy Speaker of the Punjab Assembly Bir Devinder Singh was today suspended from the primary membership of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee with immediate effect for his "anti-party" activities.
A committee, headed by party leader Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa with Ajaib Singh Bhatti and Rana K P Singh as members, has been set up to probe the charges against him, a party spokesman said.
Singh has been asked to reply by April 7 as to why further action should not be taken against him for his alleged anti-party activities, he said.
