Birds come on airport runway, delay flights

The pilot of an inbound plane noticed the birds before landing and alerted the Air Traffic Control (ATC) team. A van was rushed to the runway to scare away the birds, officials said.

As a result, four flights got delayed by few minutes.

Officials said the incident could be linked to clearing of nearby trees to make way for extension of the airport.
