"Last century had seen a streak of fascism....Now what is being seen is manifestation of fascism inside the House", Mahtab said disapproving the Congress tactics that have seen Parliament proceedings being drowned in slogan-shouting in the current session.
Lauding the patience shown by Speaker Sumitra Mahajan in dealing with the situation, he said "let Lord Mahakaleshwar give her the strength to face the challenge." Mahtab did not mention the name of Congress, but his target was obvious.
BJD has become the second opposition party to target Congress over the disruptions. Yesterday, SP supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav too had said his party wanted discussions to take place and was opposed to disruptions.
In the Zero Hour, the BJD leader made these remarks before raising the main issue concerning Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.
He demanded declassification of all those files concerning the disappearance of Netaji claiming that doubts have been raised over the accident of the plane carrying Netaji over Taiwan.
Raising different issues, several BJP members also made a scathing attack on the Congress and its leadership for the uproar in the House. They included Keshav Prasad Maurya and Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.
