BJP today accused Aam Aadmi Party's MLA Rajesh Garg of misbehaving with the party councillor Shobha Gupta and creating a ruckus along with his followers at a community centre from where she runs an NGO at Rohini.
Gupta, wife of former Delhi BJP Chief Vijender Gupta, alleged that two days ago Garg and his followers had misbehaved with her along with the NGO's staff and used abusive language.
"I have lodged a police complaint in the matter but no action has been taken so far," said Shobha who had come to the assembly to meet the Chief Minister.
Harsh Vardhan, leader of the opposition in the assembly, too raised the issue today in the House and demanded strict action against Garg.
"AAP MLAs and workers are indulging in all sorts of rowdyism and spreading anarchy," Vardhan alleged.
Refuting the allegations Rajesh Garg, AAP MLA from Rohini, said "the woman's husband was a councillor before she was elected and her organisation has been occupying that place since 2004."
"The place is used for personal and party work. When we tried to question her in the presence of over 1000 people, the allegations of mistreating a woman is baseless." he said.
Garg added if the allegations of mistreatment are true, then he will quit as an MLA.
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said he has marked an inquiry into the matter.
