The announcement was made by deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel after he, along with Chief Minister Vijay Rupani and state BJP president Jitubhai Vaghani, held a meeting with the party's national president Amit Shah here today.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be invited to address a massive gathering on the last day of the festival, said Patel.
"We held a meeting with Amit-bhai regarding Narmada Mahotsav, which will be organised by the state government and the BJP to celebrate Centre's decision to close the gates on Sardar Sarovar Dam. Amit-bhai gave his valuable guidance," Patel told reporters.
The program will be announced soon, he said.
On June 17, all the gates on Sardar Sarovar Dam were finally closed after the state government received the nod from the Narmada Control Authority (NCA).
