The Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly said the chief minister and the education minister should get all the government-run schools inspected and there should be a policy to reconstruct school buildings found in poor condition.
He also warned that if the building of any such school would collapse, the CM and education minister of Delhi would be "responsible" for it.
In a press release here, he said many parents informed him that buildings of various government schools in areas like Najafgarh, Nangloi, Burari and Shahbad Dairy were in a poor condition and this might lead to a disaster.
"The Delhi government has given advertisements that they have increased the education budget, but no action has been taken by authorities on the complaints on these issues," Gupta said.
