The BJP is all set to contest the panchayat and municipal elections in all three regions of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh, the party's state unit president Ravinder Raina said Wednesday.
Reacting to a statement given by Dr Farooq Abdullah that the National Conference would boycott the urban local body elections, BJP state president Raina said the elections were a must for the welfare of the state.
He said all those shying away from the elections should rethink their decision.
Raina said urban local body and panchayat elections would help in the release of unused funds.
He further added that, come what may, the BJP was ready to contest the elections any time.
