The BJP MLAs today met the Lt Governor Najeeb Jung, demanding a fast-track inquiry into the "scams" concerning Delhi Government and "protect" the ACB chief M K Meena from CM's alleged "vendetta".
The delegation-led by Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Vijender Gupta also met the Delhi Police Commissioner B S Bassi.
"The delegation demanded the Lt Governor and Commissioner of Police for fast tracking on-going inquiry into five major and a number of smaller scams of Delhi Government because these scams have caused loss of thousand of rupees to Government exchequer," Gupta said.
"They were also requested to ensure that upright officers like Anti-Corruption Branch Chief M K Meena who is conducting in depth enquiry into scams, are protected against CM's vendetta," he said.
Gupta charged further, "It appears that CM doesn't want the Anti-Corruption Branch Chief should do his work independently and fairly. The Government is bent upon making Anti-Corruption Branch totally ineffective."
The delegation also included two other BJP MLAs in Delhi Assembly, OP Sharma and Jagdish Pradhan.
