BJP's Punjab chief Vijay Sampla has formed a three-member committee, headed by former state chief Manoranjan Kalia, and comprising former MLA Ashwani Sharma and state vice-president Anil Sarin to overlook the celebrations.
"BJP will use the opportunity to tell (people) about Modi government's policy successes and its vision for the next two years," said BJP's state secretary Vineet Joshi, here today.
"The idea is to hold district-level functions in all the districts so as to make people aware of the good governance work of the central government," Joshi said.
BJP MPs, chief ministers of BJP-ruled states and senior office-bearers of the party are expected to take part in the celebrations.
"We are also considering holding a 'Modi mela' in Punjab," he said.
