Out of the 17 council seats in the Deori Autonomous Council, the BJP bagged seven seats, the Congress two, Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) bagged one while the independents also bagged seven seats, according to a release issued by the Assam State Election Commission.
In the 22 seats of the Thengal Kachari Autonomous Council, The BJP won 13, the Congress bagged four, the AGP three and the independents won two seats.
Polls to the two Councils were held on December 15 and counting of votes was held today.
