The decision was taken at a largely-attended mahapanchayat at Akbarpur Barota in the district.
Drawing a parallel with the Aam Aadmi Party, Union's national president Rishipal Ambawata said if the Arvind Kejriwal-led party can win in Delhi then why not the farmers, who constitute 80 per cent of the country's population.
Ambawata also demanded that the state government releases within 15 days the extend of acquired land for which farmers have not collected compensation. He threatened to block the Sonipat-Chandigarh highway if the government failed to do so.
The Union's state president Shamsher Singh Dahiya said the outfit would field candidates in all the 60 Assembly constituencies in Haryana.
