The company had registered a net profit of Rs 106.17 crore in January-March period a year ago, Blue Star said in a BSE filing.
Net sales during the quarter was at Rs 1,090.03 crore. It was Rs 990.04 crore in the same quarter of the preceding fiscal.
Meanwhile, in a separate filing, the company said pursuant to amalgamation of Blue Star Infotech and Blue Star Infotech Business Intelligence & Analytics, "the results for the current periods are not comparable with the previous period".
Net sales were at Rs 3,494.81 crore in 2015-16. It was Rs 3,039.48 crore in 2014-15.
Shares of Blue Star today settled at Rs 427.45 on BSE, down 1.41 per cent from the previous close.
