The bodies of Dinabandhu Mallick (65), a retired district inspector of schools, his wife Nirmala and daughters Saswati (13) and Pranati (7) were discovered by villagers whose suspicions were raised after they found the main door of their house bolted from the outside, said Additional Superintendent of Police (Puri), Jagannath Pradhan.
The bodies were found on the ground floor of the two- storey building in the village located under Astaranga police station. There was blood splattered all over where the bodies were found, said Pradhan.
