The body of a 16-year-old girl was found hanging from a tree in Havelia village here, police said Wednesday.
The girl, a student of class 11, had reportedly met her boyfriend on Tuesday afternoon while she was returning from her school, said SP Ajay Kumar Rai.
The brother of the deceased lodged a complaint against four people, Rai said, adding that three of the four persons were later detained.
No injury mark was found on the body, he said.
The police are probing all possible angles in the case, the SP added.
