The class seventh student had left home on Wednesday evening to buy some fast food but she did not return home, they said.
The family members lodged a missing person's complaint on the same day.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (Loni) Durgesh kumar said that the girl's father along with other family members had gone to Mandola to look for her when they found her body in the jungle.
The body was sent for post-mortem to ascertain the cause of death, the officer added.
