Aircraft maker Boeing today said it has given a contract to CIM Tools for the manufacture of complex titanium machined parts and aluminum assemblies for its 787 Dreamliner and 737 airplanes.
CIM Tools, an MSME, would supply over 57,000 complex titanium machined parts, aluminum details and assemblies for Boeing 787 and 737 airplanes in coming years, Boeing said in a release.
The contract is in line with "Boeing's strategy in India to develop an indigenous aerospace and defense ecosystem to further support the Make in India initiative," it added.
Boeing India President Pratyush Kumar said it is yet another step in fulfilling its commitment in the creation of a globally competitive aerospace supply chain in India that delivers to stringent global standards.
The plane manufacturer is expanding its collaboration with Indian industrial partners. Boeing in India has around 500 employees.
