 "Boeing signs sales agreement with Iran Air")
Boeing Co has confirmed signing an agreement with Iran Air "expressing the airline's intent" to buy its aircraft.
In a statement on Tuesday to The Associated Press, Boeing says it signed the agreement "under authorisations from the US government following a determination that Iran had met its obligations under the nuclear accord reached last summer."
It offered no details on the sale.
Iran's transportation minister said earlier today a possible deal between the Islamic Republic and Chicago-based Boeing could be worth as much as $25 billion.
