Bomb explodes in Imphal, no casualty

A powerful bomb exploded in Imphal town early this morning but there was no report of any casualty, the police said.
The bomb suspected to be an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) exploded at about 5.20 am at Moirangkhom Sougaijam Leirak area near the gate of an ex-SSB personnel's residence in Manipur's Imphal West district, the police said.
No individual or outfit has claimed responsibility for the explosion.
The motive behind the bomb explosion was yet to be known, the police said adding investigation was going on.
