Inside Gurdwara at village Dhindsa, around 22 km from here today.
Though, no damage was reported, the police registered a FIR against two unidentified persons under various sections of the IPC, police said.
The incident took place today evening after the quantum of sentence was announced in rape case against Dera Sacha Sauda sect head at Sunaria jail in Rohtak.
Senior officials including Inspector General of Police (Bhatinda Zone) M S Chinna reached the spot to take stock of the situation.
The IG said that a forensic team has also been called to determine what kind of material was thrown inside the Gurdwara.
"The police is investigating into the matter keeping in mind the sensitivity of the situation" he said adding that the culprits will be soon identified with the help of CCTV cameras.
