Raju Erwal, a resident of Nagpal Colony, worked for a private contractor. The mishap happened when he was fixing an advertisement hoarding on a multi-storeyed building, Neeraj Gupta, circle in-charge of Jawaharnagar police station, said.
Erwal had sustained severe head injuries in the mishap and died during treatment at an area hospital, Gupta said.
The contractor has been booked for causing death by negligence and employing a minor, the police officer added.
The body was handed over to Erwal's family after a postmortem examination.
