Boy stabbed for objecting to eve-teasing

Tension today prevailed in Sahjanwa area here after a boy was stabbed allegedly by four youths belonging to a community when he objected to eve-teasing of women at a religious function here.
The boy was stabbed as he confronted the youths who were were making passes at women during 'ashtmi pujan' this afternoon, SP (Rural) Brijesh Singh said.
The accused youths also vandalised the private clinic where the boy was rushed to, leading to tension in the area, he said.
Police arrived at the spot and arrested the four youths and situation was brought under control, the SP said, adding, that police in large numbers have been deployed in the area as a precautionary measure.
