The 31-year-old singer ended her year-long engagement with her fiance of 13 months recently and has now given him back the 3.5 carat ring he proposed with, reported TMZ online.
The popstar wasn't asked to return her diamond ring but decided to anyway.
The couple are said to have had a clean break, as Britney is the sole owner of the USD 8.5 million home they lived together in and they have no other outstanding financial issues.
While Spears' legal and personal affairs have been in the hands of her father Jamie Spears since her breakdown in 2008, Trawick acted as co-conservator but has now been removed after attending court.
