Brown sugar worth Rs 11 lakh was seized in Odisha's Balasore district on Wednesday and one person held in this connection, police said.
Excise sleuths on a tip-off raided a house at Sadanandapur village under Basta police station and seized 105 gm of brown sugar worth around Rs 11 lakh from a person.
The person was taken into custody for further interrogation, said an excise official.
He is suspected to be connected with a bigger drug trafficking gang, the official added.
