Two BSF personnel from the force's 'daredevils' team today set a new record by riding their motorcycles continuously for over 10 hours by standing on 16.5-feet high poles, an official said.
This is the fourth record set by the stunt biking team of the Border Security Force (BSF) in the past fortnight.
Inspector Awadesh Kumar Singh and Constable D Babu rode their 350cc Enfield Bullet motorcycles, at a BSF camp here, on 16.5-feet-high poles for a record time of over 10.34 hours, a BSF spokesperson said.
The earlier record was held by Indian Army stunt bikers at over 9.4 hours, the spokesperson said.
The bikers of this elite BSF unit had recently created three records.
The first success was a team effort of the bikers as they covered a km with 36 men on three bikes in the least amount of time.
The second feat was created by Constable Ravinder Minde by standing on the seat of a motorcycle and facing backwards for 4.17 hours and covering 106.1 km.
This was followed by the third stunt which was rendered by Inspector Ashish Bhargava who stood on his bike's seat and covered 80.5 km.
He broke an earlier record of the Indian Army of 75.2 km in the given time of just above two hours.
The 'Janbaaz' (daredevils) bikers team of the country's largest border guarding force was raised in 1990.
The about 2.5-lakh personnel strong force is primarily tasked to guard Indian borders with Pakistan and Bangladesh.
