Bureaucratic reshuffle in AP

In a minor reshuffle in Andhra Pradesh bureaucracy today, Solomon Arokia Raj has been posted as Secretary to the government (Industries and Commerce Department) and Commissioner of Industrial Promotion.
Arokia, an IAS officer of 2000 batch, replaces Shamsher Singh Rawat (1992 batch), who got allotted to Telangana state cadre by the Central Administrative Tribunal.
In another key move, the AP government brought in Indian Information Service officer S Venkateswar on deputation and posted him as Commissioner of Information and Public Relations.
Incumbent P Krishna Mohan, who was also holding the post of Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to the Chief Minister, has been transferred out as Chief Executive Officer of Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty.
K V Satyanarayana of 2004 batch has been posted as Collector and District Magistrate of Kadapa, while incumbent K V Ramana has been appointed as vice-chairman and managing director of AP State Housing Corporation.
Ramana will also hold the post of VC and MD of AP Housing Board, an order issued by Chief Secretary Satya Prakash Tucker said.
