Burglary at retired DSP's house

Gold ornaments, weighing 55 sovereigns, and some silver articles and electronic items were today looted from two houses at Peelamedu here.
According to police, 30 sovereigns of gold ornaments were looted from the locked house of a retired DSP, Janakiraman, who noticed the valuables missing. He was out of station and had returned only this morning.
Similarly, 25 sovereigns of gold ornaments, some silver articles and a laptop were looted from the house of a bank official, who had gone out with his family, they said.
