Bus carrying 65 people falls into gorge

A bus carrying 65 members of a marriage party fell into a gorge near Devidura in the district today.
The accident occurred at Jamanpura when the bus was returning from Mollakot village in Champavat district to Palamgaon in Almora, officials here said.
The bus fell into a 300-metre deep gorge, they said.
A team of officials rushed to the scene of the mishap to launch rescue operations and ascertain the number of people killed, they said.
