Nawada Fast Track court Judge Vikram Singh awarded life sentence to driver Bahadur Khan for crushing to death Krishna Dev Mahato in Bihar's Nawada district.
The court also slapped a fine of Rs 5,000 on him in connection with the killing of Mahato.
The incident had taken place on May 5, 1995 in Kauwakol police station area of the district.
The accused was arrested after a court order and was sent to jail, officials said.
