Can't be full-time racer because of 'Grey's Anatomy': Dempsey
Press Trust of India London Actor and racer Patrick Dempsey, famous for his role as neurosurgeon Dr Derek Shepherd in TV series 'Grey's Anatomy', said he cannot follow his dream of being a full-time racer while working on the medical-drama.
The 48-year-old actor said that the makers of his popular TV series have been very supportive to help schedule the shooting leaving time for his racing career, reported Contactmusic.
"When I grow up, I want to race full time. Grey's does a remarkable job scheduling around these races now, and I wouldn't be able to do it without them," he said.
"The fact that they continue to let me race is remarkable in itself, so I am grateful for that and grateful to have employment that is known around the world. It gives me a platform to come and do this type of thing, and it helps the sponsors. I'm lucky to have the gig," he added.
