Cardamom prices were higher by 0.30 per cent to Rs 1,140.90 per kg in futures trading today as participants built up fresh positions after pick up in demand in the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in February edged up by Rs 3.40, or 0.30 per cent to Rs 1,140.90 per kg in business turnover of 2 lots.
Analysts said fresh positions created by traders following pick up in demand in the physical market against restricted arrivals from producing regions, mainly attributed the rise in cardamom prices at futures trade.
