Passing the order, Justice Aditya Nath Mittal of the Lucknow bench said, "For the facts and circumstances mentioned above, I do not find any sufficient ground to interfere in the present matter. I also do not find any sufficient ground to quash the entire criminal proceedings of case No.216 of 2016. The petition lacks merit, deserves to be dismissed. The petition is, therefore, dismissed."
On October 21,the court had reserved its order.
The charge sheet was filed on April 13, 2016 and on October 7, the court of additional chief judicial magistrate, Sultanpur, issued summons against them.
Both the petitioners challenged the proceedings of this case.
On behalf of the state government, additional government advocate Shivanath Tilahari opposed the petition.
