At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, castorseed for delivery in April month contracts rose by Rs 31, or 0.84 per cent to Rs 3,705, per quintal, in an open interest of 1,41,770 lots.
Also, May month contracts moved up by Rs 25, 0.67 per cent to Rs 3,766 per quintal, with an open interest of 47,730 lots.
Marketmen attributed the rise in castorseed prices at futuers trade to rising demand from consuming industries against restricted arrivals in the spot market.
