At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, castorseed for delivery this month advanced by Rs 30, or 0.78 per cent, to Rs 3,878 per quintal, clocking an open interest of 3,420 lots.
Marketmen attributed the rise in castorseed prices at futures trade to a firm trend at the spot markets largely on strong demand from consuming industries at the spot markets amid fall in arrivals from growing regions.
Castorseed for delivery in March too enquired higher by Rs 19, or 0.49 per cent, to Rs 3,930 per quintal, having an open interest of 58,540 lots.
