CBI sources said the agency has arrestedRamendra, who directly reported to Singh, and allegedly maintained a diary in which meticulous details of the alleged bribe collected from builders and contractors were maintained and how these funds were distributed among officials of Noida.
The sources said he is in four days CBI custody where he is being questioned by the team.
CBI had registered a case against Yadav Singh on allegations of criminal conspiracy, cheating, forgery and provisions of Prevention of Corruption Act against him.
Ramendra has been arrested in the case of corruption, the sources said.
The sources said Ramendra had also revealed the names of officials who were entrusted with collecting bribe and its distribution through a chain of officials at various levels.

It is alleged that Yadav Singh hadentered into criminal conspiracy with unknown private persons firms and awarded various contracts without following the laid down procedures and thereby caused undue pecuniary gain to the tune of crores of rupees to private firms and to himself, the official said.
The High Court had ordered a CBI probe on the petition of activist Nutan Thakur, wife of suspended UP Police IG Amitabh Thakur, alleging Singh had enjoyed plum postings under the regimes of Mulayam Singh Yadav, Mayawati and incumbent Akhilesh Yadav, and the state government was not acting against him.
