CBI registers fresh case in Vyapam

CBI today registered a fresh FIR in connection with alleged irregularities in PMT examination conducted by Vyapam in 2009.
CBI spokesperson said here today that a case of cheating and forgery, among other allegations, has been registered against 46 accused persons.
The case was earlier probed by Sagar Police regarding allegations of cheating by personation in PMT 2009 examination.
"On the directions of Supreme Court of India, CBI has taken over the investigation of said FIR which was earlier registered by the Madhya Pradesh Police," a CBI spokesperson said here.
