The CBI registered a case against WCL Rajur-Bhandewada Colliery's Manager (Mines) R K Tripathi, under relevant sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, on the basis of a complaint by an employee working under him called Suresh Singh, who is a Sub Station Attender, a CBI press release said here today.
The complaint alleged that Tripathi had demanded Rs 10,000 from the complainant for posting him to a surface (open cast) mine from an underground mine.
A trap was laid against the accused Tripathi and he was caught red-handed while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 from the complainant, yesterday at Bhandewada.
