The workshop, which took place from July 1-5, explored the major aspects of competition and the Competition Act, including understanding the substantive and procedural aspects of the law, among others, an official statement said.
As many as 40 participants were guided and informed by an equal number of faculty members and speakers from the legal and commercial world and the Competition Commission of India (CCI), it added.
Speaking at the valedictory function of the same workshop, Competition Appellate Tribunal (COMPAT) Chairperson Justice V S Sirpurkar held forth his views on the need for systemic changes across the board to give teeth to the Competition Act and energise its application and implementation.
