In the sixth case of ceasefire violation, the Pakistani troops had resorted to unprovoked firing along the Indo-Pak border yesterday.
They also targeted Indian posts along LoC in Poonch.
"We have lodged a strong protest with Pakistan Rangers today, over firing and ceasefire violation, at a flag meeting on International Border in Pansar forward belt of Hiranagar," a senior BSF officer said.
However, the officer said that Pakistani troops denied their role in the firing.
A team of BSF officers, led by Assistant Commandant J S Pundir, held a flag meeting with Pakistan Rangers at Border Pillar number 15 in Pansar Post along the IB in Samba district today.
