A Central team would be visiting cyclone-hit districts of Andhra Pradesh on November 24-25 to collect data and analyse the damage caused by 'Hudhud' based on enumeration done by the state government, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today said.
Addressing a review meeting of Principal Secretaries of power, agriculture, irrigation, municipal administration and panchayat raj departments, he asked them to prepare reports of damage to crops, properties, poultry, marine industry and other infrastructure as well as the amount spent on relief and restoration works.
Naidu said the officials should be ready with reports so that they can be submitted to the Central team. This, he opined, would enable the state government to request for better relief package.
He asked officials to prepare a report on the amount disbursed for crop insurance, enhanced relief (amount) given to the cyclone victims and detail of funds used for restoration works.
Chief Secretary I Y R Krishna Rao was also present at the meeting.
The cyclone, which hit coastal districts last month, caused maximum damage in Visakhapatnam district. Its impact was also felt in Vizianagaram, Srikakulam and East Godavari.
