Central government is dedicated to the cause of development and Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working hard to make India the number one country in the world, Union minister Bandaru Dattatreya said here today.
"Narendra Modi is striving to make India the number country in terms of development. Development and poverty alleviation is the first priority of the Union government and many schemes are being launched for the uplift of the weaker sections," the Labour Minister said while addressing the concluding session of the two-day state BJP executive meeting here.
He said the BJP workers should ensure the benefits of the welfare schemes reach to the last person on ground.
"Every citizen is getting benefited with the schemes of Central government. It is the responsibility of the party workers to take the benefits of the welfare schemes to the last person on ground and educate them about the measures taken by the BJP government for their socio-economic development," the minister said.
He said the BJP does not believe in criticising others just for the sake of it.
In his address, Telangana state unit BJP president K.Laxman alleged that the TRS government has failed on all fronts.
"Farmers in Telangana are facing a severe crisis as they are unable to get remunerative prices for their agricultural produce. In the last three years, nearly 3000 farmers have committed suicide in the state," he alleged.
Laxman said Rao was trying to project his son and IT minister K T Rama Rao as chief minister for the 2019 Assembly elections.
BJP MLAs, MPs and national-level secretaries attended the conclave.
